Maggie Menapace dies
     
Maggie P. Menapace, 87, of Baker, Ore. died there of infirmities of age Tuesday. She was a homemaker at Ahsahka 42 years ago.
     She was born April 25, 1890, at Wolfe County, Ky., to James and Caroline Senters. She moved to Ahsahka in 1904. She moved to Rupert in 1936 and to Baker in 1968.
     She married Leonard Profitt Feb. 11, 1904 at Wolfe County. The fate of her first husband is unknown. She was married to Guilo Menapace, a farmer, at Rupert Jan. 18, 1938. He died March 15, 1972.
     She was a member of the Methodist church of Rupert.
     She is survived by a daughter, Ethel Slaton of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sons, Leonard Profitt Jr. and Earl Profitt of Lewiston and John Profitt of Baker, Ore., 26 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. A son, Luther Profitt, preceded her in death.
     The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Merchant Funeral Home, Clarkston, with the Rev. Dennis Degener of the Asotin United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, Lewiston.
